Solitude is the state of being alone. Isolation. Seclusion. And for many people, that can bring about a feeling of loneliness. But personally, solitude is a way of life for me. I probably embrace it more than most.

So when we were all told that we'd have to quarantine in our homes due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19, I just saw it as an opportunity to capitalize and create as much as possible. This project was birthed as a result of that.

I hope this beat tape provides much needed relief for ya'll during this time of confusion, social unrest, and racial injustice. Like Common said "Escape through rhythms, in search of peace & wisdom. Raps are smoke signals lettin' the streets know I'm with em."

I'll tap back in soon. Be safe out there in the meantime. Peace

There is something really special about this album. It's refreshing and different in the best of ways. sndtrk's sample selection is varied and eclectic and while the arrangements are minimal, it doesn't sound like it. The drums are abrasive and unpredictable and just a joy to listen to. The overall production is gritty but slick - such a lovely contradiction. This feels like "nu-boom bap", if there was such a thing? Underrated! Paul WH
